BSNL Introduces free Voice calling Plans for New and Existing Customers

BSNL has a new prepaid scheme because of which new subscribers can make 30 minutes of free voice calls, both local and STD daily to any other network. This is a monthly prepaid pack priced at Rs. 149. If you are an existing BSNL customers, worry not. You can get free unlimited calls for three months. But for this you will have to pay a expected amount of Rs. 439.

Apart from the free calling, customers will also get 300MB of mobile data. This data will be available to both, the Rs. 439 plan and the Rs. 149 plan.

Both the BSNL plans are available pan India. The offer can be availed by those looking to port their number to BSNL too.

BSNL also launched three new prepaid offerings – STV26, Combo 2601 and Combo 6801. STV26 is priced at Rs. 26 and allows free local and STD voice calls on any network. The pack is valid for 26-hours. STV26 will be available between 25 and 31 January.

"We will bring out three offerings...The first one is a Special Tariff Voucher or STV 26, which offers unlimited free voice calls on any network when subscriber is in home circle during the 26-hour validity, while the other two offers provide 1.5 times and double the talktime, respectively. BSNL has always been a front-runner in providing better and economical services to all their customers and this is one of the many such endeavours. Customers are coming forward to get our service which has helped our company increase our market share by 1 percent since March 2015 even in these hyper competitive telecom services." BSNL Chairman and Managing Director, Anupam Shrivastava, told PTI.

The other two offerings, Combo 2601 and Combo 6801 will remain on offer till 31 March. Combo 2601 gives users 1.5 times the call value whereas the Combo 6801 offers double the talk time. Coming back to the Combo 2601, users will get Rs. 2,600 worth of talktime in their primary account along with Rs. 1,300 worth of talktime in their secondary account. The talktime for the secondary account is valid for three months. The main account which gets full talktime for Rs. 2,600 has no time limit on its usage.

Reliance Jio Fiber with 100 Mbps and upto 1 Gbps Speed

According to The Huffington post, average broadband speed in India is just 3.5 Mbps which is insanely low considering the current government’s plan to digitise the government. For a country comprising largely of youths, this speed looks dismal. Reliance Jio, which has already started an internet and telecom revolution is out again to deliver its promise of yet unrealized telco revolution with the introduction of high-speed fiber-based Broadband service in the city of Mumbai. The Jio Fiber Service is said to deliver a speed of 100 Mbps, which seems a distant ray of hope considering the world renowned struggle of Indians with their internet speed. Reliance Jio created a stir in the Indian telecom industry with its free inaugural offers is all set to do it again, this time Mukesh Ambani-owned Jio will offer three months’ free subscriptions to Jio Fiber Service.   According to India Today, Reliance Jio has already started its broadband services in some high rises of Mumbai. The subscription is yet restricted because the cable installation required to cover the whole city under its ambit is yet to be done. Here's some information about the FTTH:

According to a resident on Walkeshwar Road of Mumbai, he and some other residents of his building are enjoying a speed ranging from 70 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Last year during its AGM meeting Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of the Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. revealed his plans to not limit the revolution started by Jio to smartphones, but to extend it to offices and home based users seeking for High-Speed broadband plans and to deliver the promises made to its shareholders Jio has now unveiled its Fiber to the home (FTTH) based Broadband Service. The initial phase of the rollout will soon be available in metro cities like Delhi, Chennai, and Pune and is expected to begin very soon.

The Reliance Jio Fiber also offers a plan which can deliver speed up to 1 Gbps. Reliance Jio has stated that it will soon roll out the Jio Fiber to 100 Indian cities. They named it Jio GigaFiber. Here's the screenshot of the speedtest:

Intentionally or not, but the news was spread like fire in the forest. They have also added this on the official website of Samsung but it was removed straight away. There are two personal voice assistants in the market which are owned by Apple and Google. Samsung’s Bixby is the latest innovation and has the capability to do more. It has a special feature to pay online with Mini Pay Online service. Before the page was removed from the official website, some users managed to grab some pictures. Here is the leaked image of Samsung Bixby. Samsung’s new Voice Assistant, Bixby photos Leaked Online shopping and payments are the new trends, as they are more convenient. Samsung is also working on Samsung pay option. Again, it will be patent to Samsung devices which will have a strip down version, which will give you three sub-options to choose from. Earlier reports claimed about the development by Samsung. The strip-down version will have Bixby to help you through the payment, Mini Pay, and regular way of payment. Bixby will link your accounts and once they will be linked, it will be a lot easier for sending and receiving the money. The software will be available in two variants: male and Female. This new assistant is believed to be launched with the upcoming Samsung smartphone S8. The launch is scheduled in April 2017 across the globe. After the launch, Samsung is planning to update all other devices with Bixby which are compatible. Bixby will be the straight competition to Siri, which is available on the market since 2011.
